North Bar Lake, Michigan, aka Christmas Cove

This is one of the favorite places of Traverse City area locals to go. It's the neatest place, and it's part of Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore (which is pretty cool as a whole). The lake is deep enough to dive from the shore. It's connected to Lake Michigan by a short and shallow channel some years, and there's a small dune between the two.
