The Eldreds

These are the Eldreds, the next best thing to home for me. Marilynn is my mother's sister, and cousins Kelly and Mike were so close in age and upbringing that they're virtually siblings. Marilynn works for Traverse City Area Public Schools as a secretary, Dick sells real estate. For many years they were the proprietors of The Bean Pot, a classic TC eating establishment. Dick cooked up a mean cinnamon roll (among other things) before developing severe allergies and having to give up the business. Kelly is a self-employed nail technician in Traverse City (and is single!). Mike is studying Mechanical Engineering at Iowa State University (my alma mater and our mutual uncle and aunt's, as well).

I bet they're glad I didn't scan the OTHER picture that Mom gave me...much more classic "them," but not quite so presentable to the public. ;)
