The Graduate
May 11, 1996 - Hilton Coliseum, Iowa State University, Ames, IAOn this day, I received my Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering. I should have scanned in one of the pix of the group at the ME commencement breakfast thingy. It's kinda scary - 60 guys in suits and ties and little ol' me sticking out like a sore thumb. The only other female grad in Spring '96, Anne Gifford, elected not to come. Anyway, this is a pretty darn good pic of Mom and me. (For anyone who cares, the black and gold tassel on my cap was my high school tassel - I just never took it off before shoving the orange Engineering College tassel on and graduating. *grin*)
