
Hoonah has one of the neatest cemeteries I've ever seen. It's not terribly old, but because of the Southeast Alaskan climate, everything decomposes that much faster. This angel just struck me as eerie in its loveliness.
I also learned about the wonders of Adobe Photoshop with this pic. The original has my mother standing in the background just to the right of the angel's legs, as well as some ugly orange stakes where they were going to put up a fence. Wondrous Photoshop allowed us to simply paint over those things, and it's as if they were never there. Way cool.
