GoEn$$Hu+MA! I am a goth. I have a degree in Mechanical Engineering with a German minor. I now work for United Space Alliance (contractor to NASA), where I am a Space Station Systems Trainer. I used to work in the dorms as a carpenter and emergency maintenance person, where I learned some stuff in the manual arts, and for which I earned money.

TYzz(YrvAnH) I usually look like joe shmoe college student, blending with the crowd in jeans, a t-shirt, and plaid flannel (or a turtleneck and sweater). This isn't really on the list (or at least I don't think so...I may be missing some crucial Australian slang terms). I can also be seen looking like an industrialesque raver, in cutoffs and colorful tights with combat-type boots. I also enjoy the frilly antiquitygoth look on occasion, as well as the occasional hippy look (tie-dye is fun!) *NOTE* Now that I have a real job, this look is changing...stay tuned.

B9/18Bk^1.5 My favorite boots are cheapo black vinyl combat/work type boots. 9 holes, 18 cm high, with a 1.5 inch heel. cBK(B{LBR})s-&-5 My hair is currently dyed Clairol Hydrience Black Pearl. It's naturally ash - still barely on the blonde side, but turning slowly to the brown side (but for now, it's just ash - that's why I dye). As you might have seen from my photos, it's straight, and I hereby challenge the creators of Death Hair (tm) to make it do something and stay for more than 10 minutes. I've tried, and it doesn't work. The majority of it is about chin length, but the underside of the back is buzzed with a number one comb. I've freaked out a few profs by just showing up one day with my hair pulled back to show it off and then telling them that, no, it's always been like this (except for a couple of times, since 8th grade, anyway).

PSh(PePr) My personality is primarily shy, but once I get comfortable, I get perky, and I'm always a bit too anal retentive for my own good (damn that Virgo moon!), though I try to not let it impinge on the majority of my life.

V-s Vulgarity: this one was hard to choose. As a rule, I live in the gutter, and can always appreciate a raunchy joke or subtle (or blatant) sexual reference. But in terms of dealing with people on the surface, or as strangers, I'm very polite.

M+3p5 I love music. It's a major influence in my life. I've sung since I don't remember when, I've played the viola since 5th grade, and I have picked up the harmonica, bass (a little electric, a little string), and clarinet periodically along the way. I've got way too many tapes and CDs, too - Mom said I had too many years ago, and that was two tape racks and a CD rack ago.

Z** I like just about all forms of music, or at least selections from. I can appreciate everything, though I avoid hard-core rap and country when at all possible. One of these days I'll get really bored/procrastinating, and put up my music collection.

C+2p2um I spend a lot of time on computers as a result of my major. I also enjoy playing with them; hence I know how to do quite a bit of stuff, though I'm by no means hardcore - I putter. I can program (though not very well) in Basic (yes, I know...but it's still used in some data acquisition applications) and FORTRAN. In general, I am mechanically minded. I work well with my hands *insert lewd comment here*.

a23= I'm 23. I've been told I look older, younger, and the same. So I chose the same as a nice average.

n+OF I try to eat reasonably healthily when I can, which is rarely. Eating out is just so easy sometimes. I need to lose a little weight, though, and I'm trying to avoid the rampant heart disease that runs in my family. I eat both meat and veggies, though my fave food groups are breads, dairy, and fruits.

b+:)DT( I try to keep myself in reasonably good shape. I'm built with a lot of inherent muscle mass, so I try to keep it from turning to flab, although these days it's getting hard. I'm an average sized woman. I even saw a study somewhere recently that said the average American (?) woman is 5'5", 150-160 lbs. I'm 5'5", 155 pounds. According to the doctor I should lose 15-20 lbs, but it's not a driving factor in my life right now.

H165 As I just said, I'm 5'5", or 165 cm.

gT I'm a goth. It's not usually obvious, but those who know me know I am, and I know I am. I just think funny and occasionally act and dress to match.

mEa3+ My ears are pierced 3 times - two left, and one right, though I'm thinking of getting another pair. I so rarely remember to put earrings in, though... I wear makeup once in a while. I used to most days, but I got bored with doing it, and I wore so little anyway. I do enjoy dramatic and stage makeup, though.

w+T I'm a little wierd and I rarely give a rip what others think of it. I say it's the way I think for lack of something more concrete.

r++B I am somewhat religious (United Methodist), and am still a member of the church, but I practice less and less, and I'm forming my own ideas and concepts of religion to some extent. I've never been one to have the arguments to defend my reasons for spirituality.

D--!% I don't like the idea of others on drugs, and don't do any myself. I would never inject. These answers refer primarily to illegal drugs. Legal ones are not so taboo, and there are perhaps some illegals that should be legalized, but abuse of any kind is unacceptable to me.

h+TAn,Ppe When I'm single, I love to meet gothy type people, but I'm by no means in a position to limit my options. I'm particularly drawn to Antiquity Goths, as well as perky personalities. One of my most important factors wasn't listed here, though, and that's intelligence.

s8 I'd say my sexuality is roughly 75% hetero. I'm admittedly a slight bit bi-curious, but not so much that I would ever make an advance.

k++W I liked this question statement better in v1.1. Then I was a k+++ will try anything once, often twice. But in this GC, I'm not experienced in fetishy arts (though I'd certainly like to try), so I'm just "pretty adventurous, but moderated." I enjoy wrestling and tickle-fights, and I may engage in some of the other categories, but I'm not sure what all is involved from the definitions.

?Rm As other people have complained on a.g, this category is a bit constrained, and v.1.1 was a little beter. In general, I prefer monogomous relationships, but I'm not completely against the idea of occasionally bringing in a third party (though I've yet to try). I suppose Rz would be more appropriate, but oh well.

SsWy I am currently single. I certainly like recieving personal ads from the occasional suitor, but please keep them clean, or at least very tasteful.

N0292WPnlw I've been on the net since about February of '92, though I primarily used my VAX account for the first bit (now dead), and didn't get into Usenet or WWW until the last year or two. I have a web page (duh!), and if you're here, you obviously know the address. You can find me puttering around on alt.gothic and alt.gothic.fashion, and I've just recently joined the swgoths mailing list, since I'm a Texan now.

LusTX!* I currently live in the US, in Webster, Texas, which is a suburb (though they all run together) of Houston. I haven't been here long, and still don't have a good concept of just how large Houston is. I think it's pretty durn big, though. HfsS I live a good sized two bedroom townhouse by myself. I can't afford a pet right now, and am not sure I trust myself to take care of one anyway.
