Paul and Axel chat it up while spinning round and round. The white-sticker group tours St. Louis #1 cemetery on Saturday afternoon. Morval and a couple of other goths stand unconcernedly in front of an open tomb during the cemetery tour on Saturday afternoon. Might need a little cropping, but a nice photo, I think.

Above the front entrance of the Monteleone Hotel in night-lighting. Our wonderfully evil MC Voltaire drunkenly sang us songs at the Howlin' Wolf on Saturday night. Troy, Elizabeth, a lovely lady whose name I forgot, Thad (down front), Daryl (?), and Bobby represented the old-school Austin branch of the swgoths contingent. Michael and Shannon at the club Saturday evening.

Syd and Kim, local friends of mine, surprised the hell out of me by showing up at Convergence on Saturday afternoon. Here they're sitting on the curb outside the Howlin' Wolf on Saturday evening, but I snapped the pic too soon. Syd and Kim, favored dancing buddies of mine back home, sitting on the curb outside the club Saturday evening. More hamming on Saturday at the club. Voltaire with different lighting on Saturday evening.

Saturday night, Rasputina, as viewed from the wonders of arms' length above the crowd, courtesy of the wonders of LCD viewfinders - hooray! The headwoman of Rasputina doesn't smile much during her shows. Awfully pretty, and got to sing a little solo, even. Too bad the photo's so blurry. Saturday night

Saturday night Rasputina performance, Saturday night. Rasputina performance, Saturday night. He's back there somewhere. Honest. Saturday night.

I'm pretty sure his name was Jason. Cute boi from NOLA who'd relocated to Illinois if I recall correctly, and who kept bubbling about how happy he was to be back in town. He took to bumping hips with me as a greeting at the club. Saturday night. Fross on the decks late Saturday night at the Howlin' Wolf. Saturday night. Eilis, Axel, Peter Coffin, and Geekers on Sunday in the gothic AM (aka mid-afternoon) at a cafe around the corner from the Monteleone.

No idea who he is, though I wondered if he might be from Houston. He was fabulous in that (late 1700s?) regalia every evening, but this was on Sunday outside the hotel. The pink-haired girl in the open hoop skirt is a Houston person whose hypnotically-gyrating hips I'd admired while she danced at HaVoK in the past. Oddly enough, I'd just learned her name from my hairdresser the Wednesday before Convergence, so I was surprised to see her there. Outside the hotel on Sunday night. Nicole in her gorgeous corset was compelled to dance to Bella Morte's set on Sunday night. Sunday night.

Justin dandied up on Sunday night and looked downright dashing. The black and white was simply befitting for Justin's outfit Sunday night. It's Kendra! In vinyl! With hair and stripes and whee! Sunday night. They're back there. Honest. Sunday night.

He had his eyes closed, but looked too cute for me to discard the photo. Besides, we get a nice shot of her cleavage too! Sunday night. Aren't they adorable together? Sunday night. Paul molests Peter while Geekers looks bemused. Sunday night. Not sure where the lead singer had disappeared to at that moment, but here's the rest of Combichrist on Sunday night. I didn't remember there being a girl on drum machines at the Houston show a couple of months back...

I don't know who this girl was, but her bosom was amazing on Sunday night. Still don't know her, but I think this photo has marginally better lighting than the other. Sunday night. This girl was standing in front of me for a while on Sunday night with her lovely curves in tight vinyl, so I had to snap a shot. I think I missed the original target of this photo, but someone might enjoy seeing a photo of him or herself on Sunday night.

All three members of Combichrist on stage on Sunday night. I kept marvelling at this girl's improbably tiny body. Unfortunately, the photo makes her look _too_ stick-figurey and provides little context. Sunday night. Random lobby shot, Monday morning. Monday morning, hotel lobby.

Monday morning, hotel lobby. Jason ended up in a lot of my Monday lobby shots. A lot less tarted, but just as saucy on Monday morning. Almost a dive on Monday morning, but not quite. Back to Mac for remedial lessons!

This was the loot I brought back from NOLA: two necklaces, a bottle of BPAL, a couple of Lush bombs, a papercut print, a couple of shirts, and cargo bloomers (!). This graveyard-scene papercut (like woodcut, but with paper, if I understand correctly) print will go nicely with my mom's cemetery photos hanging in my to-be-gothy bedroom.
<A HREF=http://jackwittenbrink.com/>http://jackwittenbrink.com/</A> I picked up a pretty crystal necklace with stud earrings. I like shiny, and I like classic and understated that's still interesting.

My second <A HREF=http://www.blackphoenixalchemylab.com/welcome.html>BPAL</A> scent (purchased <A HREF=http://www.bpal.org/index.php?showtopic=9534>Fallen</A> last year) is <A HREF=http://www.bpal.org/index.php?showtopic=4314>Moon Rose</A>. 'A crisp, pale, almost translucent rose dusted by moonflower, and midnight dew.'

On discovering an unexpected <A HREF=http://usa.lush.com/cgi-bin/lushdb/catzoom.html?mv_arg=Bath%20Bombs&expand=Bath>Lush</A> store down on Decatur, I felt compelled to try the Black Pearl and Romance in a Stone bath bombs. The French Quarter made everything way overpriced, though.

<A HREF=http://www.theaesthetik.com/Item.aspx?Category=1&Item=17#>Cargo and bloomers</A> are two words I'd have never put together, but these are insanely cute. I sincerely believe they're also the only low-rise pants I'll ever own, but they work on me. Her whole line is really interesting, and a lot of it is a bit different, which is great to see.
