One of earliest human
myth cycles is that of the dark trickster. This stranger appears without
warning. Before he leaves, the world has been irrevocably changed in some
manner. Sometimes this change is seemingly for the better, but more often
it is a change for the worst. The trickster brings confusion and chaos
into the world of the people, who therefore dread his visitations. Modern
men believe him to be a boogey man of simpler, more primitive minds. There
are those of us who know otherwise. Those who still fear that the trickster
will once again visit our world and change it. Forever.

What This Is
This web site is dedicated
to our gaming group as we play through Masks of Nyarlathotep, an epic,
continent spanning campaign for Chaosium's Call of Cthluhu ™ role-playing
game. The game is set in the world of H.P.Lovecraft, an author who specialized
in stories of horror and the occult. Lovecraft's world looks very much
like our Earth during the 1920's, but unlike our world (hopefully), humanity
shares the universe with darker creatures that come from beyond the stars.
These creatures do not exist harmoniously with humanity, and they use their
dark powers to manipulate, control, and kill humans to suit their needs
and pleasures.
We play the heroes of
this world-adventuerers and scholars who fight the tide of evil despite
the odds. Our characters risk life, limb and their sanity to defeat the
evil that lurks from beyond.
